A New Light

The Truth is in the dirt on the ground.
I’ve been feeling the need to write, anything, with the hope of making people think a little when they stumble upon my writings.
The tittle, La Brutta Verita, in italian means “the ugly truth”. I decided to call it that since I’ve noticed trough all my life what a big trouble people have with truth. Look everywhere; every single aspect of life we know and we can find people evading truth all the time. Truth is harsh, truth is harsh, truth hurts. Why don’t you tell him he’s fat? Or how ugly he dresses? Or why don’t you tell him he’s work is going to take him nowhere?
A matter of manners, some would say. But I don’t think so. What at first started as good will and empathy when this social protocols where created -meaning is not OK to be straight forward and point out the truth about the others- , has become in everybody’s comfort zone; since if you don’t make evident truths about people they shouldn’t have any reason to doit back to you. Who likes to hear how ugly we are or how mediocre or how bad we dress? Nobody. So it became something acceptable. It’s like saying: Go ahead! Tell him he has big bones instead of being fat. Tell her you love her and it isn’t about sex. Tell him how good he looks on those lime green sneakers. Tell them your life goal is to help the country instead of become wealthier. Tell them how good it tastes and say no word about the ingredients. The truth is rejected, truth is ignored, truth is abused. Some of us knows is; most rather not even to think about it. And that’s what make this times so difficult and it is what will lead us to the crisis point as species. No one wants to know the truth, and truth is individualism is keeping us from progress, greed is killing us, destroying the planet, causes suffering and prevent us to enjoy life. Truth is we as species are reproducing as a plague in thins planet, consuming everything on sight and causing pain to others with the sole purpose of billions of lives on TV, beer and sex. Truth is we have way more than we need and in the future we’ll be killing each other for things we indifferently waste today. Trust is a huge collection of good intentions and over-exploitation delusions used trough the history as a social control tool and keeps people from developing science and technology. Truth is that the accumulation of chemicals on our bodies from processed food and other products is responsible for the always increasing cancer rates. Truth is that over-population and over-exploitation of resources at the current rate means we’ll need 4 planets like ours to satisfy the demand. And truth is, that the lack of common sense is going to kill us all. Now you can go back to Facebook.
